Where a bus is fitted with seatbelts, all passengers should wear them for the entire journey.
This is especially important for school students. Parents and carers are encouraged to remind children that, where a seatbelt is provided, it should be worn correctly from the time they take their seat until they leave the bus.
Students should:
- sit properly in their seat;
- wear the seatbelt provided;
- keep the seatbelt fastened while the bus is moving; and
- follow any instructions given by the driver.
Wearing a seatbelt is a simple but important way to help reduce the risk of injury in the event of sudden braking, a collision or rollover.
Busabout Wagga encourages all passengers to make seatbelt use part of every trip.
If a seatbelt is fitted, please wear it.
